During Mark Wiens' visit to Kerala, he wanted to try some local functions. A wedding function was quite difficult to find, but we got a housewarming function. Later that evening we were also lucky to take part in a wedding ceremony.

Why Mark opted to stand and eat Biriyani in the housewarming ceremony? Where the hosts too indecent to Mark and his team? Why this housewarming ceremony?
While Mark contacted me, just a few days before his visit to Kerala, he wanted to visit a few places where I shot videos. He also wanted to capture the local living, festivals, and cultural events. It was tough to find one suddenly. However, with the help of Roshan (from Seashell Haris Beach Home: ) we got a housewarming ceremony.
The hosts invited over 1500 people and more than 2000 people attended the ceremony. Though the hosts knew nothing about Mark Wiens (they were not that familiar with YouTubers and vlogging), they welcomed Mark and his team. Mark's wife was invited to join the female members of the family, and she happily enjoyed a good time with them.
For Mark, Joel, and me the objective was to capture the cooking process. We tried our best to cover most of it. We started at 3:30 in the morning and Mark easily mingled with the chefs and the people associated with the hosting family.
Later, after all the cooking, when we wanted to try the biriyani, at the seating arrangement there was a blue plastic roof which gave a bluish light that did not look good for the video. Moreover, the place that was filled with 2000 guests was tough to be a shooting spot. We then decided to stand a bit away from the place and try the cuisine.
The hosting family gave ample respect to Mark, but they couldn't sit around throughout the shooting session as they had many more guests to attend. However, they were so good that they visited us frequently to know if we needed anything. Mark was extremely happy with all arrangements and he mentioned this in his video too.
Another comment I received on Mark's video was why I did not mention Wayanad and Palakkad while speaking about the Malabar region.
I admit that it was my mistake. I missed the two districts unintentionally and my sincere apologies for that.
